I was in high school when this incident happened and was so moved by the horror and savageness of it that I have never forgotten it. I try to put the cruelty and ugliness of what this woman endured, out of my mind. The scum that did this don't deserve a second thought. What deserves to be remembered is the beautiful, gentle young woman who blessed the earth with her presence for such a short time. May she always be in our minds as a blessing and treasure to her family and the community and country she was a part of and may we all be a little wiser and more compassionate as a result of what her precious life has taught us. May the gods bless you and hold you in loving, safe arms forever Anita. xxx
When I first read about Anita It consumed my every thought. I can't imagine the horror this poor innocent woman went through that night. I know she will return to a perfect world someday. God Bless you Anita and your family.

just to hear Anita's name all these years later still breaks my heart. I lived just streets away, and I'm the same age, and I used to walk Newton Road...God only takes the best. Rest in peace Anita.

My thoughts are always with you even though I did not know you. I have two daughters of my own and I can imagine the pain and suffering your family has endured over the years without you. You are now in God's care.
R.I.P Anita, when i read the artical, i was in shock what the murderer have done to this young ladies. May God Bless your family with peace and the justice will come after those murderer when they die.

I became aware of this crime some years ago and felt so sad at the breathtaking level of cruelty bestowed upon what must have been a terrified and helpless young woman. I hope that those despicable creatures suffer the same level of pain and fear that Anita did and for at least as long as endured by her parents and family. God bless you Anita
