BRYANT, Sydney Arthur.
Passed away peacefully at
hospital on January 22, 2010 of Mt Warrigal, formerly of Kiama
Downs. Loving father and father-in-law of Ruth, Jeanette
and Paul, Kerry and David, David and Liz, Christine
(deceased) and Gordon. Dear brother of Frank, Allan, Reg,
Jack, Len, and Bob (all deceased) and Hilda, and Stella.
Cherished Pop of all his grandchildren and great-
grandchildren.

Aged 87 years

A chapter completed, a page is
turned, a life well lived

a rest well earned.

The relatives and friends of SYD
are warmly invited to attend his Funeral Service to be held at The
Chapel of Lakeside Memorial Park Crematorium, Kanahooka
Road, Dapto on Friday (January 29, 2010), commencing at 12
noon. In lieu of flowers donations to the National Heart
Foundation would be greatly appreciated. A bowl for this
purpose will be provided at the chapel door.

I stayed for around 2 or 3 weeks with Syd and Joyce Bryant and family at Woodstock Rd, Guildford in early October 1956 while my youngest sibling Matthew was born. I was 7 years old. They had goats and chickens and a free-standing play-house. My father Clem Combe was a friend of "Uncle Syd's' as we children called him. When we visited the Bryants, my mum, Necia Combe, who is now 90, chatted to Aunty Joyce. It was all a long time ago.
