Employed Unilever 1938 (trainee) Sales Manager India 1941; Advertising Manager Argentina 1947; General Manager Uruguay 1949; Personnel Division London 1952; Beechams: Marketing Director and Deputy Managing Director Australia 1958-9; Advertising Manager 1959-75, British American Tobacco/ W D & H O Wills then part of Coca Cola Amatil, then Group Advertising and Planning Manager of Coca Cola Amatil until retirement. Winner of Australian Television Logie award for advertising. Known for his by-line used in his Benson & Hedges commercials, "When only the best will do and isn't that all the time ?"
Married: Diana (1940) and Elizabeth (1958) both predeceased him.
Geoffrey's funeral service was held on Tuesday January 12, 2010 at the Rookwood Crematorium, Weeroona Road, Rookwood in the West Chapel, at 2 p.m.
