Just heard of Lyn's passing. Am so very sad and shocked. I worked with Lyn at Moorabin hospital and shared a house with her in Sth Caulfield for a year or so. she was an amazing lady, always gracious, always considerate and fun. She was a truly lovely girl. I caught up with her for lunch a year or so ago and at head of school girls rowing in Geelong 2 yrs ago. We promised to get together again soon, now this wont happen until I see her again in heaven where I am sure she is. So blessed to have known her, so sad for her family. love to you all.

I will always remember the last time I saw Lyn beacause she looked great, and we had a great time catching up. But it lulled me into a false sense of security as I did not expect it would take her so soon. I will treasure that moment and also the last sms messages I have from her. It must have been an effort for her to send them, but she did. That was Lyn, so caring and wonderful. Lyn was one of those people who you would say to others that she was just so wonderful and a truly good person.
At school, good old St Patrick's, I remember her being one of the cutest girls and I think we all wanted to be like her. She wore a gold bangle which made her look so pretty. As a child I knew that Lyn was a special person, and as an adult I understand that she was one of those special people that we are blessed to know. Thank you to Duncan and her children for looking after her and also to her friends who cared for her when she was unwell.
To Duncan, Hamish, Tom & Tess, we will never know how Lyne's passing will affect you all and how unbearable it must be for you all. We hope that the knowing how many people loved Lyn will help you move through your lives. She will remain forever in my heart.

I went to St Patricks primary school with Lyn. She was in the class behind me she was also the friend of my wife, Julie, Lyns classmate. In one way or another and thru all our travels and relocations the friendship between Julie and Lyn has existed beyond my comprehension. It was always one of those relationships that seemed to thrive in spite of the neglect it recieved. Whenever we manged to meet, which was not often during our hectic lives, it was like we had never been away at all. Last November Julie and I met Lyn, on one of those exclusive moments, in Elsternwick for lunch. In spite of the dramatic treatment she had recently undergone she looked as beautiful and full of life as she has ever been. She was truly a woman who contained a beauty both without and within that few people can ever manage or even understand. Her loss is unimaginable and heart breaking, as it is meant to be. Our recent memories of her are from that last meeting which means that she will forever remain the beautiful, resilient and loving mother, wife and most of all friend that we have always and forever known.
