The parents of murdered Sydney teenager Susan Worrall say they will "never recover" after the teen's sister launched a knife attack on the 18-year-old.
Susan Worrall was killed by her 20-year-old sister Kathleen Worrall during an argument at the family home in Sydney's south-west last Friday.
The conflict is believed to have started over a hair straightener, leading the 20-year-old sister to stab 18-year-old Susan in the neck.
The parents of the two girls say they are devastated and will probably never recover.
We're devastated by what has happened but I am proud of both my daughters," father, John Worrall told News Limited newspapers.
"Kathleen was a loving and caring older sister to Susan. We were sometimes reluctant to leave Susan alone in the home because she was still a school student, but with Kathleen present, we felt okay."
The parents explained that their elder daughter Kathleen suffered a congenital disease known as adrenal hyperplasia (CHA), which made handling stress difficult.
"I had two daughters a few days ago that I loved and was proud of - now I have two daughters that I love and am proud of but one of them is not around any more," Mr Worrall said.
Both parents say they will stand by their daughter, who is due to face court later today.
