How do I upload videos to my Tribute?
To upload a video to a Tribute, click on the "ADD A VIDEO" button on the right side column. This will take you to a page where you can upload videos from your PC, or you can import them from other YouTube.
How long should it take to upload a video?
The time it takes to upload depends on the size of the video file and speed of your internet connection. Once the file uploads successfully, the system still needs a few moments to convert that file into a format that allows for playing on the Tribute page. This processing time can be longer depending on the size of the file.
How do I import videos from YouTube?
Click on the "ADD A VIDEO" button on the right side column of a Tribute. Choose the "IMPORT FROM YOUTUBE" button. A field will appear where you can copy and paste the video's link. The best place to find that link is on the YouTube page, to the right of the video. There is a field called "URL". Simply copy this link and paste it to the OnlineTributes field.
How many videos can be uploaded to my Tribute?
OnlineTributes employs a "fair-use" policy for video uploads during the free-trial period. Once a Tribute is sponsored, there is no limit.
Which file formats are supported by OnlineTributes?
You can upload .mov or .mpg (.mpeg) files. Flash files (.flv) cannot be uploaded.
How can I manage the photos on my Tribute?
When signed in, as the owner of a Tribute you can delete any photo at any time by selecting the "Photos" tab and then clicking on the red X next to each photo. You can also choose which photos will appear in the photo slideshow on the homepage of the Tribute. Click the star button on any photo remove it from the slideshow.
What are "Albums"?
As the owner of a Tribute, you can order the videos already uploaded into albums of your choice. You can rename or delete the albums at any time. Deleting an album does not delete the videos.
What if I see a video that is clearly not appropriate for the Tribute?
Click on the video to go to the detail page, you will notice a "Report Abuse" button. This button allows you to flag inappropriate content so that the Community Manager will be notified.
What can I do if I’m having problems uploading image files?
If you are unable to upload a video and you think you have done everything correctly, simply notify the Community Manager and you will be responded to by email.
